One of the best features in Windows 7 is the Snap feature. This allows the user to simulate having multiple monitors while only having one. To complete this shortcut have the desired window as the in use window and hold the windows key down then press the right arrow key to move the screen to the right. If you want to make it the only visible screen on the monitor or maximize the screen press the Windows key and press the up arrow. Play with this to see all of the control it allows you with the Windows key and all arrows on your keyboard. To watch a video of this feature click here! Until next next time… Happy computing!

It can be a lengthy process that normally consists of following steps: clicking the windows key or start menu key, then selecting the search bar at the bottom of the start menu, then typing run, and then clicking or pressing enter to get the run box to display. Instead hold down the windows key and click the letter “R” key. This will promptly bring up the desired run dialog box. Look for the next #CTOTD tomorrow. Happy Computing!

April 4th, 2011Today’s Computer Tip Of The Day is one that will amaze and astonish you. Ever been filling out a form online and tab over one or two places too many? Frustrated with having to grab the mouse and click in the selection box that you need to enter in your information? Wish there was a keyboard shortcut to help make this simpler? Well there is, simply hold the shift key down and click the tab button one time to return to the previous box. For each additional hop backwards, continue to hold down the shift key and continue to click the tab key until your destination is reached. We hope this helps! Have a great day
