May 18th, 2011With the popularity of Facebook, MySpace and other social media sites, Hackers and information gathering has evolved to present themselves from more trusted sources, your friends. Hackers have moved from the malicious software which may crash your system and result in expense for you to have your system cleaned up, to the more sneaky installation of code hidden in free software. The main purpose is simply to gather your information, personal details as well as your browsing history. This information can then be sold to marketing companies etc. Systems are also being infected to be used as a robot, to spread the malware via the internet and conceal the true identity of the origin. Do some research on Bing and Google to see what others are saying about the software you are about to download before making the decision.
